Junior Certification is the first tier in the Arduino Certification Program, which provides official recognition throughout a student’s development, while boosting the future skills that will help them thrive in the modern world.
Junior Certification makes it easy for educators to assess their students’ individual aptitude, skills, and what they’ve learned about programming, electronics, robotics, and Arduino concepts.
Whether they have been working with Arduino components individually or in groups, Junior Certification gives educators a clear insight into each student’s own level, and enables you to spot knowledge gaps and areas for improvement. It also helps students with self-evaluation, and gives them an understanding of the areas they need to work on or have a particular aptitude for.
In addition to validating students’ skills, Junior Certification also improves their personal profiles by showcasing their knowledge in programming and electronics. This supports them in getting on the first rung of the career ladder.
The exam is multiple-choice and taken online, and provides official certification for those aged 14+ on knowledge of Arduino-related electronics and programming.
It is based on topics covered by the Arduino Student Kit and the Education Starter Kit (you only need to use one of these kits, not both). Topics covered include electricity, circuits and
schematics, Arduino IDE and boards, electronic components, and programming. The more students have used the kit, the better their chances of gaining Junior Certification.
The exam is available in English.
