Building futures. Inspiring innovators. Four regionals, three age divisions, one continental title — built entirely on Cubroid coding blocks.
The Cubroid Meta Africa Championship is a coding and robotics competition for school learners across the continent. Teams design, build and program their own solutions with Cubroid blocks, then defend their work in front of judges over three qualifying regionals and a live final. This year's theme will be announced closer to Regional 1.
The Cubroid Meta Africa Championship is Africa's leading coding and robotics competition for school learners aged 5 to 18. Teams design, build and program their own solutions using Cubroid coding blocks, then present their work to a panel of judges across three qualifying regionals and a live final.
CMAC Africa Championship 2027 runs across three age divisions — CMAC Junior (ages 5–9), CMAC Intermediate (ages 10–14), and CMAC Senior (ages 14–18) — giving learners at every stage a chance to compete. Regional 1 opens on 17 April, followed by Regional 2 on 24 April and Regional 3 on 8 May, before the top teams face off in the final on 15 May 2027.
Beyond the trophy, the Cubroid Meta Africa Championship gives learners real, hands-on experience with coding, robotics and problem-solving — skills that map directly onto STEM subjects and future careers in technology and engineering. Teams build confidence presenting their work, learn to collaborate under pressure, and get to measure themselves against schools from across the continent.
Every challenge in the Cubroid Meta Africa Championship is built around Cubroid coding blocks, a modular robotics kit designed for classrooms. Schools that don't yet have a Cubroid kit can order one through Support Your School ahead of Regional 1.
Registration for the Cubroid Meta Africa Championship 2027 is open now. Schools can register a team in any of the three age divisions, and our team is available to help with kit orders, rules, and workshop support in the lead-up to Regional 1.

Sharper logic and bigger builds. Teams tackle multi-step challenges that reward real problem-solving under pressure.
Advanced coding and robotics, judged to a championship standard. This is where the continental title gets decided.
Every team moves through the same three qualifying regionals before the final decides the champion.
Every CMAC challenge is built around Cubroid coding blocks. If your school needs kits before Regional 1, we'll help you get set up.
